Day Ten

Today we finished up our project, and started to make our presentation. It wasn't hard, it's just that we can't think of a good hook. We worked on presentations all day, so there's not much to write. But we have to get everything done, and hopefully somebody took the board home.

Day Nine

Today we were practicing our presentations. That's pretty much all we did, so we can't write that much.

We were trying to test the water pump but it produced absolutely no electricity. And we barely had time so we didn't have to present :P But we were ready...


That's pretty much all that happened today.

Day Eight

Today we got pretty much everything done. We were testing the fountain to see if the rotor would spin, and it did BUT two spoons fell down. We got the maximum voltage of eight I think.
It worked pretty well.

Last night I rushed on our tri-fold, so I couldn't do much and it was plain. So today I took it home again and hopefully it won't be that plain if i edit it just a little. I still feel like it's gonna be plain.

Tomorrow I believe we are preparing for Exhibition presentations. Wish me luck. ^^

Day Seven

I'm glad we got almost everything done today (Yay, A good day for once!)

Okay, this time when we glued on the rotor and rotor disk, they didn't screw up, and I'm happy. WE also got this awesome fountain, where we're going to pour water in the bottom of the bucket and the water shoots up from the fountain. The water will hit the spoons and make them rotate and make electricity! We tested it, and it worked very good! It sprayed water outside the bucket sometimes, but it spun really fast and it worked. Though the bad thing is that some of our spoons broke. Easily fixed. I believe Connor was working on it before we went to Art.

Me and Dylan we painting the tri-fold. We finished painting it, BUT it looked absolutely, horribly sloppy. We were thinking qabout it, and decided to get a new tri-fold (thanks to Ms.Lopaz). We started pasting the pictures on our new tri-fold, and we finished that. I volunteered to take it home and work on it. All I need to do is type some things up and paste them on the board. Hopefully that won't be too hard.

I'm glad we got a lot done today. Tomorrow we'll start practicing presentation.

Day Six

We ALMOST got it done today. Hence almost.

Ok, we glue the rotor disk to the dowel, the rotor to the dowel, and then it absolutely screwed itself up.
So it's like this; we get it all hot glued on and "Yay! We finished it (sorta... ish...)!" AND THEN we spin the dowel to test it and we find one of the coils had their electric tape fall off, so it gets all tangled up and then we have to take of all of the hot glue, take off the rotor disk, and take off the rotor. We're lucky we had Ms.Lopaz and Mr.Clay to help us with that.

So when I was making a fuss about Kristoff and Connor not helping me untangle the wire, Dylan and Bhargav were painting our tri-fold blue. When Ms.Lopaz and Mr.Clay came to help untangle the wire and take the glue off, I went to help paint the board. We got the front of the board, and we're half-way done with the sides.

I still feel we didn't get far at all again today. I'm disappointed in our group, to be honest. We keep screwing up in some way.

Day Five

Today we started working again. I'm very sad we didn't get all that far.

We got to drilling two holes/slits to insert the stator disk into. It fitted well, a bit off of the hole for the
dowel to go through, but it still went through both sides, which is good. We need to hot glue the stator disk to the bucket, and connect the wires.

The got the motor done today, and it looked real cool! We already had the spoon heads finished on Friday, we got the hub drilled to fit the dowel today and William glued the spoons to the dowel.

Unfortunately that's all I remember that we did today. I hope we finish by tomorrow so we can get working on our tri-fold as well!

Day Four

I still think it's sad because we didn't finish our project today. I'm happy that Ms.Lopaz extended the deadline though. :)

So Mr.Clay had to glue on the wires again because something was wrong with them. I think he said we coiled them weirdly...

Anyways, Kristoff and Connor made a new rotor today. Instead of using the cork. we decided to take a hub, stick short sticks into all twelve holes that it had, and glued spoon heads onto the sticks. It turned out well, but we're still working on it.

We also got to drilling both holes on both sides of the bucket we're using. The holes at there so we can stick a long stick through the bucket and put our rotor and rotor disk and stator disk on it. Honestly, we didn't get that far at all.

We also didn't do ANYTHING to our board. I sorta just took it out so we can work on it, but we couldn't do anything because we had, well, nothing.

That's pretty much it. We didn't get that far, though William was working on information for our tri-fold. Dylan and Bhargav were absent, so that gave a great disadvantage also.
